Dave & Thommo Take out the Pairs

The young bloods Dave Mara and Grant Thomas held off a concerted effort by the experienced team of Brian Batin and Geoff Appleby to take out the Pairs Championship on 11 October 2009. Brian and Geoff held the lead for the first 5 ends but were finally ovetaken on the sixth end. They fought back to nearly level the scores at the 18th end when the scores were 14 to 16. Dave and Grant sealed the win with decisive scores on the last three ends to take the title 23 to 14.

Wednesday Wasters 3rd Series for 2009

John Smith proved too good for his oponents to take out the 3rd series for 2009 by a convincing win, coming in with 12.4 points.

Ray Locke came in second on 11.6 and Bob Jackson third on 11.2
