Flying Tigers
The Flying Tigers were established over 50 years ago to provide
bowlers with the opportunity to visit Bowling Clubs outside the
metropolitan area. Bowlers are not just drawn from members of BBC
but from right across the metropolitan area.
Trips are organised to clubs outside Sydney on an annual basis
and usually involve travel by air, hence the name. The duration
of the trip is usually 5 days.
The Flying Tigers have visited many locations since their inception
and have even travelled to Tasmania and New Zealand.
The 2009 budget is $550 and includes fares, accommodation
and a special bowls shirt inscribed with the location of that year's
host club. The funds are collected by instalments to relieve the pressure
of a one off payment.
In 2009 the Flying Tigers will visit Coolangatta Bowling club in Queensland between 15-19 October. In 2008 they visited Tuncurry
Bowling Club on the North Coast of NSW.
If you are interested in joining the group for 2009 please contact
BBC by phone, fax or email as soon as possible.
